i went to the SGNY open call yesterday evening. i'm mostly alone in a crowd, so even entering the hook-up joint was an unnerving experience. i got there before any people i actually knew in the flesh were there, so i spent an hour by the bar by myself, just chilling, peering into the back, unable to move. waiting for er and her grandma dharmabox to show up an provide me the necessary courage to indroduce myself to everybody (anybody).

while growing wallflowers at the bar, i bumped into my buddy alex who started and owns eyeball records and he bought me a few drinks while we caught up. i hadn't seen him since my last show. i told him that there was an SG party going on in the back, and he replied, "i like boobies". he had just parlayed a deal with sony for his buddy who runs tarantula records and i caught them at the end of their business meeting. he had an SG sticker on his skateboard!

alex split, then er and dharmabox showed up and i was able to be social. dharmabox is a wonderful person and is *misty eyed* the perfect complement to er. they are great together and i wish continuing love and happiness to them both. i got to meet rxqueen who's fucking awesome and the fairy freyja and unnecessaryz and several other previously pixelated people.

later my friend mark (no hyperlink - he's not into computers!?) showed up and he and i took off for a late dinner at one of his favorite shochu bars. then i stumbled home, happy, full, and a bit tipsy.

then my head exploded.
