I haven't been online for about a week now. I kept meaning to post, so I figured I better sit down and get it done. This week has been busy (as usual) at work. Last week-end was great, we hung out with some friends I haven't seen in awhile and we went diving (FINALLY) which is something I have been slacking on lately. I got sick Sunday night, and still am. I really can't believe this year! I have been sick more times, than in probably the past 5 years, combined. I got this horrible sore throat and I feel tired alot. Despite that, I mentally feel great, and find the sickness more of a nuisance than anything.
About the dive: If you read my last entry, you know we were planning on diving these old pilings that used to be an old warehouse/pier out over the water. Before we went, I was talking with a guy from the dive shop, telling him of our plan. He said he had never dived there, but knew a guy who had a few years ago, and that nothing was there. Not good news for us! But I thought to myself, A) It's a great site, and since it is not a "usual" dive site he wants to keep it a secret for himself OR.. B) this is really going to suck for us. So we went to the site, and since I got there before everyone, I geared up without my tanks, swam out and snorkeled the site to get a peek. BUMMER! H e was right! Nothing there. Just as I swam back to shore everyone showed up, so we moved the show just down the road to another site I like, and it was cool especially since one of the guys had not been there yet. Here are a couple pics I took there, below. The water was pretty decent. Clear and 42 degrees (yeah that's cold!- drysuit diving, baby!) I love shooting pics under water, but unfortunately these aren't the best. I was having strobe/lighting issues. Water is such a difficult medium to photograph thru.
I can't wait for tomorrow. I go in to get my newest tattoo finished!! I will post some pics as soon as I can.
