I don't celebrate XMas, but I do. I don't believe in christianity, or any religion, but I do believe in family and friends, and hell yes, presents. I started off the week by getting a homemade tree. Jim ran around on Sunday and constructed it, and when I got home, there was what looked like a real tree in my living room. He got it all through scrap, so no trees were harmed for our holiday.
After another holiday with my family, they've proved to be both incredible and insane at the same time. I guess that's the point.
I got Kali back after an ill-attempted adoption to my parents. She belongs with her mama. Her new thing is to climb into my lap whenever possible (on the computer, in the car, etc.). Not exactly comfortable for me, seeing as how she's almost 70 lbs., but whatever. It makes her feel at ease. She got a stuffed squirrel for the holiday. It was a sacrifice toy, and was ripped open in minutes.
Besides that, I now have my own copy of Amelie, and will be spending the day watching it, cleaning my house and applying to more schools.
Hope yinz all had a good holiday.
