Things have changed
just when things were looking like I was going to take a year or more off from teaching, I did the impossible. I got a job.
I completely forgot I sent a resume to this school system, but they called me one tue and asked if I could come in the next day. I told them I couldn't as I was working all day, but Thur was clear. Scheduled an interview Thur at 9am. Go to the school, interview with a panel of 4 people. It went well, but I didn't think anything of it becaus I've had really good interviews and didn't get offered a position.
They called me- at about 2pm that day. The following week has been a whirlwind of me going to meetings, signing papers, and working in Lynn.
First day of school for the students is the 30th. Then we get a 4 day weekend.
Speaking of Lynn, I'm really tired- why? Well, I went to work at 6am tue and didn't leave until midnight-ish wed night/thur morning. I'll let you figure out that math. That day included doing 3 calls in a span of an hour. All were from the same facility going to the same hospital, it was ridiculous. The last day just dragged on and I got out late to boot. Oh well, now I'm truly per-diem and don't have to work like I used it. I only have to maintain 16hrs a month to stay active.
