Been gone for a long while, with school and my son I've not had a lot of time for just about any extra curricular activities including time to sit down and spend time on my favorite websites. I've renewed my membership after letting it lapse for about a year since my school studies are a little easier to bear.
I'm still in school but after battling with math classes I've changed my major to science and I'll either go into microbiology, virology, or straight Chemistry. I'm also doing an associates in Game Design because that's a passion that I have that just won't go away. Who knows, maybe I'll end up doing educational games.
I'm glad to be back here and hoping to be a more active member than precious. My son, who is two and a half, is recovering from surgery due to a bacterial infection called atypical mycobacterium. The bug is a cousin to Tuberculosis and got into his lymph node under the left side of his jaw and caused a nasty infection, after four months of various treatments we contacted an infectious disease doctor at UVA and he put my boy on six months of medication and surgically removed the lymph node and the surrounding necrotic tissue. Crisis averted, and my son has even more energy than he did before... I almost wish he was sick again because he's into EVERYTHING! Just Kidding of course, I love my boy and I'm so relieved that he's better now.
Well, that's it for today. Just finished homework and thought I'd post a few thoughts out there.
