Rue Plumet....
I suspect that someone in the wigs / wardrobe dept on the show is wanting to set me up. I have a rule...Never date a female who owes headshot or a headset. Actresses and Stagemanagers are Kryptonite to me. There are several reasons:
Past experience dating a Stage-manager ( And listening to other stagehands tales of woe in doing the same ) has totally warded me off the idea. Yes, I know a bad experience with one person doesnot make a rule. But, I only know of 1 other person who's gone that route and it's worked. And the woman in the relationship became a Stage-manager after the relationship started. She was a F.O.H. person before they dated.
Dating a female younger and less experienced than me who is, when backstage my boss. No...
See, I need escape from young, eager ASM's, fresh out of college who want to do everything and re-invent the wheel. I love my job but I don't want to take the theatre home with me. I've already gone through the "living the show 24/7" ( while on tour or as a house guy) I like that I can be a casual now, close the theatre door and walk away.
Actresses... That's a whole other entry.
