It's a long holiday weekend here in the UK, so off to get as far away from work and my hobby as possible.

Going to a cottage in a middle of my favourite National Park. Good walking country. Also very good for decen beer...apparently wink

And holiday Monday back watching British Superbikes for the second time this year. Won't be far from the spot my profile...

When I read about your glasses, Jack Duckworth sprang to mind. Ooop....sorry, I'm sure you didn't look that daft. However, you've reminded me that I need new glasses, driving at night is a bit hit and miss at the moment. eeek

I get what you mean about the volunteering thing. My hubby is Chairman of a Scout Troop, has been for about 7 years. Now he wants to stand down, but no-one, not even jointly, is prepared to take over. Probably because they know he's worked his ass off during that time. Pretty much the same with the school PTA, school Governors and his boys Cricket team. No-one wants to help out or take over, BUT they all want the best for their kids. Just at somebody eleses expense. It annoys me.

New Rush album, perhaps I'll treat hubby.....well as long as he doesn't mind me falling asleep LOL

Oh and Son of Dork. We did get tickets, but, the tour had to be cancelled due to lack of ticket sales and problems within the band. Looks like I won't get the chance to complain about their performance afterall. There was a mess up though with the age restrictions anyway. Our tickets said 16+ and ticketmaster said 14+, but no-one seemed to be able to confirm anything for me. Sonja is 12, but we could have got away with her as 14+ but not 16. She's disappointed, but I'm not too worried, although I was meant to meet some people there.

I've gone on a bit......sorry. blush

Hope you are well. Take care.

Sweden rocked!

A really great trip, more like a long weekend with the biggest groups of mates. Was actually competing in a championship for my hobby, although that didn't slow down the eating, drinking or wind ups.

What happens on tour, stays on tour!

Odd though. God a bigger Volvo estate hire car...the original had a big crack in the windscreen. And I kind of...

I should be really tired...late back from the MCR concert last night (actually early this morning) and another mad week at work. Managed to muddle through a busy day, and now waking up. That's just wrong blush

The MCR concert? Couldn't work out who the support band were, coz only saw one song and their sounds wasn't good enough to catch the name. That didn't look...

It's taken a mad couple of weeks, but at last I'm tired. Actually more than that!

Lots of people at work and a few friends have been making the most of my generous nature. So today I've been selfish for once and taken a day off. A four hour drive home through rain, sleet and snow meakes that a very good idea.

Usually it takes...

A bit of retail therapy on the way home got me thinking about guilty pleasures.

I blame a UK film magazine, who started listing their guity pleasure films. So what qualified I hear you ask? Well they don't move you, the story line may be weak and they aren't going to win any awards. But boy what a ride wink

So I had to buy a...

I'm full of the joys of rock tonight - a killer concert in my home city by the fabulous Bowling For Soup \m/

Voice is a bit gruff and sexy (or really rough!), and my ears are still ringing. But that band rocks - onstage dance offs, sing a longs and too much rock.

If you only see one rock band live this year, make...

You know, I found 2 or 3 websites that sells carousel horses, but they wouldnt ship them to me frown Bastards!

I really had the best day ever the day we shot that video - and the photographer wasnt too bored either. He had to polish me all over to make the latex shine, and I think we both quite enjoyed that!

Hey h&h

It was the Get Happy tour, and you missed a treat. I can't remember another band that has as much fun on stage, or the last time I sang so loud I nearly lost my voice eeek

Being tall has it's advantages at concerts, but it sucks on long haul flights blackeyed

Wow Cecilia - Now shining latext is job satifaction...not if I hand my notice in tomorrow, I could start in 3 months. Start the clock now ARRR!!!

It's been a long week...and it's only Wednesday!

Too much work and not enough play. And that simply isn't good enough.

More live music - concerts from two of my favourite bands are on the way. And just heard another is playing my home town.

So how long to the weekend again wink
