Wow...another night, and another concert. My last scheduled gig of 2007 at that *sob*
This time it was The Damned. Mad bunch of punks that they are. Great gig, and I'll definately go back and see them again when they tour. They did of course play all my favourites... Love Song, Smash it Up, Elosie, New Rose. More
Support was odd. An energetic group of young punks who were musically tight and almost inventive. And then a Burlesque troop...well I'll watch if I must
So *drum roll* time for the top five gigs of the year. In no particular order :-
- Muse...either concert, but the Wembley gig just edged it
- Marillion...Somewhere Else tour at Cambridge, just stunning
- Rush...Wembley again, and simply amazing show. They are touring US and Canada again next year. Time off coming up means a concert or two is on the cards
- Fish...another Cambridge gig, and blown away by his new stuff. That man has so much stage presence
- Wolfmother...at Norwich UEA. I expected so little, and they rocked hard.
Ask me again next week and I'll have remembered another one
Work is dull as ditchwater. Leaving in just over three months, so handovers and Christmas parties. Hungover and bored already
A mad week last week of planned and unplanned nights out. Three on the trott with early morning starts is not the best for healthy living. It was my last night out with my "old" team...and we marked it well. Last count was three hangovers, two "can't remembers" and some mid-pub dancing
Off to sunnier climes for Christmas on Thursday. Then back to celebrate New Year, and plan my future.
Sleep now...I'm finally tired
Peace, love and happy holidays
