Yeah I know it's been too long...but heck life is for living, not watching from the sidelines
Lots to do as I've been hard at work, rest and play.
My summer gig season is kicking off in style. Saw the awesome Wolfmother at out local "large" venue, and they brought the house down. Their musical style reminds me so much of the bands I listened too when I grew up. Gotta see more of those lads.
The mate I was going with got a nasty cold (I have limited sympathy as he caught it on the Isle of Man watching the Centenary TT, when I couldn't get over there!), so took another good friend. We both agreed the support band were cool...which is surprising as I'd seen them support before and didn't rate them. Had nothing to do with the female lead singer looking much hotter than before...honest
Back down memory lane to see a band who came to our city almost every year. Been to three of their "final" tours. It's great to see them back at what's a pretty advanced time of their life...they can still rock despite the years.
This week is one of my top three bands...Marillion...about an hours up the road. Their new album is growing on me, and I can't wait.
My one weekend off from my hobby (another blog for that one boys and girls!) was one to make the most of. A cracking weekend in London. A wistle stop tour of my favourite shopping areas saw my credit card is serious danger from a Cons and Vans shop. My weakness for Italian ice cream. The new Lord of the Rings musical (impressive, and I can almost forgive them for chopping the story so much ). A Brick Lane curry....you HAVE to try them And a tour of the east end Sunday markets.
Slow down...me...never
