Yeah I know I've been bad
Been far too long and I haven't been around here to spread the love as much.
So a 100mph catch up :-
Job...took redundancy (my choice, no one sacks me!), had a belting leaving do, two months rest and now got a better job offer to work in London. All good

Blimey a long overdue blog posting :p
Life's got very hectic. My voluntary redundancy and big cheque is less than seven weeks away. Between now and then I have..more job interviews,,,,a trip to Holland....a St Patricks Day trip to Dublin....leaving do's...and studying for an IT exam in April.

Crikey, is it that far into January already!
For those that can stomach it this late, Happy New Year
Under three months notice to work before I can leave my current job. A big voluntary redudancy payment makes it my choice and a nice soft landing. I am looking for jobs almost anywhere in the UK (or worldwide!) although not that hard

Red Bull is some crazy stuff. It might just affect me weird.
Wow...another night, and another concert. My last scheduled gig of 2007 at that *sob*
This time it was The Damned. Mad bunch of punks that they are. Great gig, and I'll definately go back and see them again when they tour. They did of course play all my favourites... Love Song, Smash it Up, Elosie, New Rose. More
Support was odd. An energetic group of...

Hahah thank you! I'm glad someone appreciates my finds
Yeah my father and I should just no longer have contact - it would make life better for everyone all around I think.
Good luck with taking on the world now that you're free!
I'd LOVE that gift if I could have it

I can just see my daughters hystrionics when I set fire to her precious jeans, it wouldn't be pretty...lol. (I'm having to lol because my smilies have died.) Although some of the stuff that crawled out of my son's room should probably be burnt. Teenage boys are a little scary.
Funnily enough, Rush still sorts out my insomnia. Everytime the cd's on in the car, I fall asleep. I guess there's no hope for me. Oh, and my menfolk loved the concert too and my son didn't fall asleep. I'm about to join the scramble to get them Iron maiden tickets for Twickenham, so fingers crossed I get some.
Pub or shopping......hmm....which to chose. PUB PUB PUB.
Guess whose supporting Mcfly.........Elliot Minor......w00t......9 hot guys on the stage in a night, what more could a girl want? Erm....yeah, the music's going to be good too.
Marillion, that's a blast from the past. I can remember them playing in a local pub many, many moons ago. I think Fish is local to me, something in my head tells me that, but then sometimes it tells me lies.
A run in a sports car would be lovely. How far down the list would I be?

It's one of those magical autumn days here. Sunny, crisp and on the cusp of warm and cool.
Been two years since we celebrated my best mate's 40th brithday in Vegas. A mess of food, drink, roller coasters, giggling like schoolboys at the Star Trek experience and of course the monorail (monorail). I blame the Simpsons
So this week was a birthday drink for him....

Been a mad few weeks, and off on holiday tomorrow. A road trip around eastern Canada and taking in a couple of the north east states.
Had a great birthday weekend. Wasn't one day more like four or five blurred into one. One night drinking with friends, made it home and only realised it was time to go to bed when I...

I figured a long while ago my life would never be boring. I set out to work hard, play hard and make the most of every minute. Choose the harder path rarely trodden. Fix things that are broken. Fill every weekend...

That was quite the random comments! But I was amused! The new Linkin Park is quite good...I can't say I own any of Paramore's albums though...partly because they're super hard to find here in Canada
Yeah I know it's been too long...but heck life is for living, not watching from the sidelines
Lots to do as I've been hard at work, rest and play.
My summer gig season is kicking off in style. Saw the awesome Wolfmother at out local "large" venue, and they brought the house down. Their musical style reminds me so much of the bands I listened...

It's a long holiday weekend here in the UK, so off to get as far away from work and my hobby as possible.
Going to a cottage in a middle of my favourite National Park. Good walking country. Also very good for decen beer...apparently
And holiday Monday back watching British Superbikes for the second time this year. Won't be far from the spot my profile...

When I read about your glasses, Jack Duckworth sprang to mind. Ooop....sorry, I'm sure you didn't look that daft. However, you've reminded me that I need new glasses, driving at night is a bit hit and miss at the moment.
I get what you mean about the volunteering thing. My hubby is Chairman of a Scout Troop, has been for about 7 years. Now he wants to stand down, but no-one, not even jointly, is prepared to take over. Probably because they know he's worked his ass off during that time. Pretty much the same with the school PTA, school Governors and his boys Cricket team. No-one wants to help out or take over, BUT they all want the best for their kids. Just at somebody eleses expense. It annoys me.
New Rush album, perhaps I'll treat hubby.....well as long as he doesn't mind me falling asleep LOL
Oh and Son of Dork. We did get tickets, but, the tour had to be cancelled due to lack of ticket sales and problems within the band. Looks like I won't get the chance to complain about their performance afterall. There was a mess up though with the age restrictions anyway. Our tickets said 16+ and ticketmaster said 14+, but no-one seemed to be able to confirm anything for me. Sonja is 12, but we could have got away with her as 14+ but not 16. She's disappointed, but I'm not too worried, although I was meant to meet some people there.
I've gone on a bit......sorry.
Hope you are well. Take care.

Thankyou for the birthday wishes. I seem to be doing a damn good job of growing old disgracfully at the moment.
WOW you've got some great travelling around coming up, jealous much. Mind you, I've not long been back from Cyprus so I can't really complain although I probably will.
Bike racing is back on the telly, Suzy is what it's all about and the guy whose name I can't remember but is VERY cute....Testerossi maybe
*GIGANTIC HUGS TO YOU*
Take care.
