I really need to get back to writing. It's kinda sad to admit, because I'm fairly sure it goes against a lot of what the movie is about, but watching Sideways makes me want to drink more wine and write again. Luckily, I've been getting back on the writing, but I still can't afford to drink the good shit. Luckily it looks like that should soon be taken care of.
Also, watching this particular movie reminds of one of the great fears of my life: That in about fifteen years, I'm going to be the Paul Giamatti character, and I'm going to be living this out with one of my friends. Actually, several of the people I know could probably turn out like the Thomas Hayden Church character. I'm not sure what that says about my choice of friends, but I am glad to say that my closest buddies aren't likely to fall into that trap. It's pretty impressive, really, most of the friends that I have are set to turn into pretty successful, good, happy people. There's something wonderful about that, even if I do fear for my own future fairly often.
