ok, drugs are bad but like sweets, they are good for you once in a while. They'll screw around with your system and nobody really knows about the long term damage, but at a dance festivals its a must, unless you're very lucky and can dance all night with another drug of choice.
That was Global Gathering on the Saturday. But first it was the SGUK meetup. This was very low-key in comparison maybe because I was I was mentally preparing for the day after, but it was fun because I met a few new people. (I have to say i propose a mushroom SGUK meetup, but i'm not sure how that'll go well with some of the more conservative members of the site- I want to hear something different to random drunken small-talk sometimes) October is very sweet and pretty and probably the easiest suicidegirl to talk to. Maybe that's because she was new and wasn't obsessed with talking to everybody at once. Snowelf had 'The Boots' which are the awesomeous things you'll see anywhere. One interesting point was the drum n'bassers arriving at the meet. I never knew you could get that many words in a full sentence! gothicwolf you're a cool guy too. You certainly like your chinese!
Thing is though, i'm never going to make true friends with any of the SGUKers at these meets. It's not possible i'm afraid because it's very difficult to gauge real personality at these huge noisy party things. So if I make true friendships here, then it''ll have to be at some other occasion with fewer people. And i'm going to try and make more effort to get to know some of you guys in quieter surroundings.
Global Gathering was good and bad. The transport to the venue was absolutely atrocious. One bloody shuttle bus coming from the station every hour is awful when you got thousands of people trying to get to the venue. We got to Stratford at 4pm and spent 4 hours waiting for a bus and then deciding to walk the 6 miles or so until arriving at 8pm. Funnily enough, security was no problem, just waltzed in with whatever i had. Basically I was a big fun fair with tents all around carrying all sorts of music.. I didn't even think about finding about what dj's were there, i spent most of the time waltzing around the tents in a very strange mood dancing to the music i liked best.
snowelf was being very cute dancing with a glowsticks like two ice creams- kinda waving them around in circles. I was doing the catching flies withj my sticks and then afterwards waving my hands thai dancing style. snowelf was being very affectionate with me and her best girlfriend... hehe, that was great fun!
Music wise we spent most of the time in the bedrock tent after i had been to the hard house tent. That was nice, progressive, deep and melodic trance which suited my mood at the time. Itr was ideal for chilling out as well as dancing and I think i remember loving Sasha, but to be honest i can't be too sure who it was.
Too many girl chavs with those furry boots whistles blonde hair and tiny skirts. man chav guys are ugly. Would have liked to see more cybers but i guess there are other places they are going to.
There are other things i could mention but they are either too illegal too personal, or i can't be bothered cos the journal's too long already.
- The day after we went to Holland Park to chill out before coming home-- excellent idea, my sleeping patterns not changed at all.
Fun Weekend!
