i awaken to the rain pounding the world outside as if to let me know that all my schemes of summertime living were as fragile as a house of cards. i abstained from drinking, as i was supposed to work on the sound system, but i arrived late and i had never been in the avalon ballroom before, so i watched as someone else struggled through the show, not that the sound was bad, i hear the need for augmentation of sound in everything i hear, the cursed ear of the engineer, there were just moments that needed attention, but buju banton is one of my favorite entertainers of all time, he is the james brown of jamaica, with a powerful message...i may go to santa cruz tonight to catch the show at the catalyst because it was that good of a show, he didn't leave the stage for an hour and a half, and then came back and was up there another 45 minutes, he covered every style of jamaican music that has come out in the last forty years, the ska/ rocksteady set alone was worth it, and nothing was weak in any of the tunes....my aim is acting like it had never been activated...so if you aim me, then please do it so i can have your address back or if you never have then just harass me, i have to mix 20 dub plates today, and burn a lot of mixes to catch up on back work, i smoked so much herb with the jamaican/brfixton/bolinas folks last night that my lungs hold more variety of resin than an all the coffee shops in amsterdam...notice i am avoiding the sex issue, that is cuz' it is not an issue if you aren't having it...oh,well...time to get some grub...

hint: If you go to the cuttlefish exhibit you should stay there for quite a bit longer than other exhibits. You will see them change shape, color, and patterns right before your eyes. They are awesome little creatures.
