I know what I was doing on this day. I was driving for a taxi company. When the news broke out my cab got hit. Because the news shocked the other drive and he was beside himself and freaking out. I was living on the west coast at the time and many people were freaking out. Even all the military personal from the two bases there. I remember folks running to stock up from the store and the lines at the gas stations were long.
Me I went on my days as normal. I was told i was cold hearted from the other taxi drivers. I wasn't. There wasn't nothing I could do plus it wasn't happen to us. If it had and I lived there I have been doing things to help our town and the people. Of course when originations were seeking donations and whatnot I helped out.
I am sorry it happened and my heart still goes out to all those that were effected. The ones that were there. And to the families that lost family and friends there. I do know how they feel. I lived in a war zone for two years so I knew what they were and still going through.
I remember my neighbor glued to the TV and acting and talking like he was right there. He was the kind of person that saw a car accident and have everyone believing he was in it. So i have to tell him to stop talking to me. But he wasn't the only person doing this. That bothered me a lot.
Yes it was a sad day for the States and it was a tragic that it happened on USA soil. And don't wish it never happens again.
There is a lot more I can say however I will stop here about 9/11.
