I know I am a day late on this, but oh well.
I was 6 mos old when it first come on the air. My mom told me so many time this. Since there wasn't alot on TV back then she had it tuned in to see what it was about. I was crying but when it come on she said I became quite and transfixed on the show. Then when a commercial came on I cried till it came back on. Then I sit there watching the show.
So my journey of Star Trek began at that moment. And has not stopped. I have watched all the shows and movies. I have collected so many items over the years. Mostly of the OTS since that is the more rare items one can have. I have been lucky to have met all the OTS stars.
The two star I admired the most was James Doohan, he was so down to earth and easy to talk to like talking to an old friend. The other is Nichelle Nichols, I still have a big crush on her. The only woman that if she told me to run away with her I would leave everything beyond. I met her when I was about 14 and all I could say was HI since I was filled with butterflies and nervous as heck. I still believe she saw that because I still can hear her reply Hello young man you are handsome and thanks for coming. You bet my heart did flips and I was speechless even more. OMG we need more people like her in this world. She has done so much to improve this world. I can talk about her forever.
Of course not all of the stars are nice. But I won't say which one was the rudest that I have met. The two above I like not just as characters but as real people. The others I love the characters they played. I have a few favorites in each of them. But guess which one is my #1 of all time.
I am not one of those fans that will bash on some of the series that have came out. They all had there good and bad points. But the message was still there. Of course the OTS will always be my #1 favorite.
Anyway I could write alot more but just wanted to write very short on it.
