Valentine's Day was very low key... not that I am a huge fan of it anyway. Geoff and I made dinner (steak and veggies) and watched TV and just spent the whole night together followed by amazing sex... multiple times. So pretty much like every other night. It was better than last year when I kept saying how much I hated V-day meanwhile Geoff had planned this whole surprise dinner and everything and had bought me an Ipod Shuffle as a gift and then we both felt embarrassed when I was surprised that evening, him for doing something special for V-day because he thought I would hate it and me for going on and on and making him feel insecure or stupid about his surprise. I mean it all turned out good and I said that if he ever wanted to do something for V-day, I wouldn't hate it... just that I didn't like the idea of only having 1 day to show you love someone. We do special things for each other all the time anyway.
The job hunt is still on, but it's hard not to get discouraged when everything I turn up turns out to not work out. I may have to suck it up and get a job I hate for pay that will barely cover me. When did jobs star needing valid driver's licenses and people having their own vehicle. For the past 6 years I have never been late to a job taking the bus and I have personal identification issued by the gov't of Ontario. It's not a driver's license but it works. i mean when I worked at the hotel I left an hour early to get to work on time. Yeah it sucked but I did it because I am professional and on time. GRRR! Half the jobs I've looked at pay minimum wage and I still need a vehicle and a valid driver's license. One is even at the mall... there are like 5 different buses that go to the only mall Guelph has. Anyway end rant. Let's hope I find something soon.
When I do (see trying to be positive) I think I am going to stop putting things off and get one of my half sleeves done) then I'll start saving for my scholastic dream.
I'm also kind of bored with my hair lately. Not just the colour but everything about it. Last tiem I got bored, this was the result:
and then this:
and finally this
Those last pics where the last of the time my hair was short. they were taken at the first SG Gala I attended. Earlier that day in the bank, a photographer asked if he could take pics of the star I had shaved into the back of my head and throughout the rest of the day I got lots of compliments on that star. My hairstylist Jenny did a lot of different designs as you can see in the pics. Keep in mind that was like a year of different hair. The last few photos are my favourite. My hair was black, blue and purple and majorly styled up for the Gala. It also took forever to grow out. I don't think I realized how short it really was in the back. If you look I have very little hair in the back and so when it started to grow out even though my hair grows super fast and is super thick I kept wondering why it was taking so long.
My hair is much longer now and more generic as I;m sure most of you have seen in any recent pics I may have posted and even though I loved that short cut, and may do it again sometime (much to Geoff's dismay... being the typical guy he likes my hair longer), it was very high maintenance. With my hair now I can just brush it and go, with the other one I always had to style it or it looked like shit unfortunately. the fun part was that since my hair grows so fast I could go back all the time to get my bangs trimmed for free and to get different designs done. I thought I had more pics of the different designs but I guess not. Oh well.
Anyway I'm gonna make some popcorn and watch some more TV. Story of my life I swear!
Love you all

I am so with you on the Valentines Day thing- but I think what Geoff did was super sweet
Arg- the car and valid drivers license thing drives me nuts. I don't think employers should be allowed to specify that unless the job involves actually driving around to places. Sometimes if it is an administrative job they want you to be able to drive, but that essentially makes you someone else's errand boy- and believe me- that is never fun. You will find something, don't worry! In the mean time have you thought about getting your license just because then you can say you have a license, but no car?
I am so in love with your short hair, but I understand keeping it more neutral right now- especially when on the job hunt. Good luck with your job search! See you at Gala this year?
