**SAPPY BLOG POST WARNING** Disclaimer: I usually don't put all my business out there on my blog. I consider many of you to be wonderful people that I truly feel like I can be myself around and be completely accepted by, but I'm a pretty introverted and private person to be honest. But this story was just too touching to not share with you all.
My four year old stepson saw me crying today due to a panic attack. After running up and giving me a hug he then went outside and picked me some flowers from our front yard to make me feel better. I gave him a kiss and then sent him off to play and assured him not to worry and that I'm fine and sorry for scaring him. I then took a nice long hot shower to unwind and calm myself down, and when I was done I found that he had barricaded the bathroom door with every single one of his favorite stuffed animals for me. It made me cry. I went and found him downstairs and scooped him up and told him thank you for giving me his stuffed animals and he replied, "When I feel sad and I'm crying I like to squeeze them and it makes me feel all better, and I just really want you to feel all better!" This little boy has really buried his way deep into my heart, and I've come to love him like my own. It's amazing the way children have the ability to love unconditionally and sense when something is wrong.
I love my new little family and I'm going to work everyday to make myself better for it. <3
