**Attention all LA or within-reasonable-travel-based friends!**
Please read!
On Saturday, October 1st, I will be throwing my brother an elaborately-planned bachelor party here in Los Angeles, and I don't expect many of his friends to make the trip out, which doesn't really bother either of us.
I have always had the intention of inviting as many of my own fun and friendly acquantances as I can to join the party, and I'd love for as many of the people from SG that I consider friends to make it.
It's not as private an occasion as you think, really. The whole thing really benefits from having as many people present to share the good time as makes sense. I'd love to extend this out to out-of-state friends, too. It'd be great to have some SF-ers down so I can show them as good a time as they've shown me in the past, and I promise it will be a really great time.
I'm going to need some confirmable RSVPs eventually, so please let me know if you'd be interested in joining the party. It promises to be an amazingly fun time, and there are a lot of additional details which I still might add. (I've got a freaking SPREADSHEET for crying out loud)
Let me give you a brief(ish) rundown of the plan:
I'm essentially talking about a 10-ish hour double-decker open top bus tour around the entire Los Angeles region, stopping at about 10 pre-arranged bars/restaurants to pop in, drink/eat a little bit, and then get back on the bus and move to the next. think of it as a very large scale pubcrawl. Of course, there will be a (close to) full bar on the bus as well and hopefully a DJ.
Part of the appeal of the whole thing is that we'll pick people up at the places we go and convince them to come with us on the bus, showing no concern for wherever their cars might be parked or how they might have to get back to them.
I'm still considering whether or not to have an end-destination party or not, everyone might be way too drunk or tired by the end.
So, that's it. I'll be talking to people about this one on one when I can, but I wanted to put it out there because I'm afraid I might be too busy to really get the word out to everyone I'd like to come.
-Please consider if you can, and let me know so I can get invites together.
Dave

I'm also looking forward to squiddy goodness. No rush, don't kill yourself over it.
I wish I could be there on the 1st... but I will be performing in Maryland that night. I come back to L.A. on the 5th and maybe I will not be a crazy busy person after that and I will make it out to an event or something. It would be a freaking miracle.
Have fun getting silly on the bus.
xxx.
