Finally watched Elizabethtown tonight while doing/folding/putting away laundry and preliminarilly packing.
Fuck you, Cameron Crowe. Fuck you for making me go against every fiber of myself that wants to wipe Kirsten Dunst out of existence and actually making me feel engrossed in her character and ability to portray one well. My entire world view is now screwed, way to go.
But seriously, a pretty great movie, if not a little strange starting and a bit loose in parts. No Almost Famous, but there's something amazing about it, especially the last hour, and the last 30 minutes even moreso. And, as expected, a rich and mood-capturing soundtrack.
-I want a spunky mysterious girl to engineer a magical and soul-changing choreographed musical road trip for me, goddammit, and also falling in love with me wouldn't be a bad bonus either, I suppose.
