so apparently i am an "i saw you" in the mercury this week. unless there is another blonde girl with the same tattoos who went to the same coffeeshop on the same day. i have a secret admirer. or a stalker.
the "i saw you" ads are cute and all, but i started thinking: "why are people so evasive about attraction and relationships?". i'm probably...

yeah, i have some scars too that i would like to get fixed, if i could...but if i don't, i guess i'll survive. i'm just a little embarrased by them at times.
cribbed from spooky: tragedy they say is just comedy without the distance.
i'm having drinks with an emo boy tomorrow night and i'll be sure to tell him that. and then he'll cry. and then he'll write a song about it.
i am truly the essence of a postmodernist. i'll critique but i won't create.

I'm actually still in high school... at a boarding school in Andover, MA.
I can't wait for college
I hate New England winters, so I think I'll be heading back West though.

boy, isn't my life exciting?
also: solomon and gaenor is the hottest movie ever. in the history of the universe. without question.
one of the perks of being sick and staying home: watching hot movies and playing on the internet, all while slightly buzzed on dayquil.

Awesome!! Let me know if you need any cheering help.
i try to be tough and indifferent and blase, and sometimes it all feels like such an act. i envy people who have no regard for subtlety, who just spew their feelings everywhere. i mean, can they just not afford therapists or what? meanwhile, i just keep repeating "i don't care that i'm only better then nothing, because i don't care, don't care, don't fucking...

damn, i can relate so much...
sometimes i fear i'm too apathetic, but when i really analyze how i feel, it's the opposite, i seem to care way too much. it tends to lead to hurting a lot. but i don't think it's a bad thing in general..

I used to have a lot of trouble with hiding my feelings and my thoughts...this is going to sound crazy, but i started telling MYSELF how i was feeling. Just saying it made me feel better, and it made it easier to start saying things to the people I needed to say things to.
measure 28 failed and saddam has botox.

Oh, by the way, I *loved* the hipster chart on your other journal; I needed the smile. Alas, I think I only hit 5 at most, so I will get kicked out of my neighborhood if anyone gets wind of it. (Hmm, maybe you can develop a scoring method, like a cheesy magazine survey? 7-Hipster! 4-6-mere geek; 1-3 modish suburbanite; 0, June Cleaver. Hmm, needs work.)
somewhere, the sixteen year old version of me is very happy.

Just remember what Beavis said.

If it's any consolation, the 28 campaign was called a "sophisticated grassroots operation" on NPR. Hooray!
I'm also impressed that you have a hand in 2 books already...

Since I just saw him, I can't resist:
"A spooky note on a Fender bass/
Played less notes, left more space/
Stayed kinda still, looked kinda shy/
Looked kinda far way, kinda dignified/
How in the world were they making that sound?/
Velvet Undergroud"
Ah, your weekend seems so much more interesting. I went to a cocktail party at a professor's house tonight--does that officially make me bourgeois?
I am tired, I am weary.

Alas, I'm the wrong person to answer your question. My speciality is the ambiguous "is this is a date or not?" outing; I never like to clarify things because I'm sacred of what the answer might be. When I had a temporary crush recently, a mutual friend asked if I had talked to her about it, and I looked at her as if she was crazy--why would I do that??? Obviously, that's pathological to some degree, but as you say it is a dilemma; getting rejected all the time isn't exactly a boon to mental health either.
Of course, since you're obviously aces, there's no dilemma in your case--I say go for it, the world is your oyster.
Things to do? Right. I think I'll play on SG for a while longer.
That rules that you are in the "I saw you" ads.
I read those religiously every week. It's kicks ass!
To answer your question: Money.
Money determines if I walk the line between too much and not enough.
