It's strange how sometimes life swoops in and changes all your plans, makes you go in directions you weren't sure were right for you, and causes you to get lost in your neatly laid out reality. I suppose it really shouldn't seem all that surprising to me cause my life seems to do this to me all the time, but never the less it always takes me for surprise. So let's see what have I been up to...
I am still working at the Orthopaedics dept in the hospital here. It's a boring job and the lady I work with is all about playing the same country music station every day which has been causing me to wake up in the middle of the night with twangy music floating through my brain. Yes I know ALL the words to ALL the popular country songs. It's really disgusting and I really wish I could listen to headphones but talking on the phone and headphones don't mix well together. THey have offically offered me a job there...sort of. For fomality sake I have to apply for the position, but the supervisor told me that if I apply I pretty much have the job. Which is good to know cause really I would like the stability of having a full time job with benefits but at the same it's really a boring job. There is never enough work for me to do, so I spend about have my day looking at stuff online and the other have bugging people about giving me more things to do.
I have been kind of hoping that the yarn store would decide that I am the perfect person for their shipping/receiving job but I have been calling and calling and they really haven't been calling back to often, so I think I am going to have to give up on that dream. It really annoys me cause I did all the little getting a job etiquette things that everyone is always saying gets you the job you want. I am apparently doomed to work in a closet with no window for awhile here.
I went to camp this past week which was bloody amazing. At first I really wasn't all that sure how much I liked it cause I hadn't been in 3 years but the bonfires were wonderful this year. I got to dance for insanely long periods of time to drummers who understand how to drum for dancing. I can't tell you how enjoyable it is sometimes to feel like everyone's eyes are on you because you are incredible at what you are doing. I hadn't gotten that previously, but I have a feeling that's cause I never fully let go til this year. I unfortuately ended up hurting my back towards the end of the week so there was much with me laying on my back doing nothing for long peroids of time and then getting up to go alternate between the hot tub and the swimming pool. I got to see a lot of people I haven't seen in a LONG time and everyone has finally decided to grow up and not be petty anymore. It's great! I can't wait til next year!
1) What's more important: having a constant job or loving the work you do?
A: It's a toss up right now for me...I would love to have a both but it just doesn't seem to be in my cards at the moment.
2) Dancing or drumming...which would you rather do?
A: Dancing by far...drumming and I haven't gotten along in the past.
3) Have you ever had a reoccuring nightmare? What was it about?
A: I used to have a nightmare about billions and billions of worms slithering all over everything and being everywhere. I would have to wake myself up to get away from it and even then I would still see them for a bit. Luckily I have gotten over that phobia with lots and lots of gardening.
Edited to add a pic of my car to my me pic folder. Her name's Moxie Indigo. She's a real trooper!

3) yes! and what is weird is it is the same as yours! i hate worms!!!!
A: you always say a job you love until you have to support yourself. but i'd only stay at a job i hated until i found a constant job i loved.
2) Dancing or drumming...which would you rather do?
A:dancing, it's a religious experience for me.
3) Have you ever had a reoccuring nightmare? What was it about?
A: i have, but it's always a little different. i haven't had it for a while. i can't really remember what it was. something about a house. and i can't even remember if it was more dream or nightmare.
