I haven't quite figured out why but for some reason this year's holiday season has me yearning to do typical holiday activites like bake cookies(that I really don't need to be eating), sending out WAY too many Christmas cards to a lot of people who probably don't care one way or another, decorate the house with all the sparklies that the holiday season brings out and giving random gifts to everyone I know. I will be the first to admit that I am a hardcore mom type. I love caring about people, making them smile and just trying in general to make their lives a little easier. I just usually don't go all out. Maybe it's cause I have finally moved away from home with no plans of returning to live there. Or maybe it's cause I keep realizing that if I could(as in if I had someone to share it all with)I would settle down and start the family that I have been dreaming about for some time. Which every time I bring it up seems to slip just a little further away. *shrugs* I am sure it will all work out in the end...it's just gray skies make my mind turn to gray thoughts and the melancholy settles in for a visit.
1) What physical thing do you want for Christmas?
A: a car would be nice but I would settle for a new coat and snowpants so I can go sledding.
2) What emotional/personal thing do you want for Christmas?
A: well I know I am always babbling about it but I really want my family bond to start traditions.
3) What's your favorite holiday tradition?
A: warmth, good conversations, good food, and Clam Chowder on Christmas Eve.
