well this isn't the update I had planned, but I had such an interesting dream last night I just had to write it down somewhere. Its rather long, but thats cause I'm not going to leave anything out.
I'm a young woman who is trying to get a spot on an interstellar spaceship that is heading out to colonize a new planet. Getting on the spaceship is as easy as getting on an airplane, and I'm begging the ticket agent to let me on the ship. You have to provide your own stasis sack (a sort of bag that your placed in to go into suspended animation during the long trip), and since I have mine ready to go, the lady lets me on the ship.
Once on the ship, we are all getting into our sacks, which we hang from the ceiling and then crawl into. Our heads are free, but once we get underway the sacks will cover us completely. One guy on the ship has a hole in his, but he doesn't seem worried. He bought it cheaply online, so he got what he paid for.
The next thing I remember is waking up in the ship, and there is only me and one other guy still in it. The sun is shining brightly, and I quickle realize that something is very wrong. All the other people are gone, all the doors are open, and we are falling through the atmosphere over a green plain. We're so high up we are almost still orbiting, but the air is warm and I can breathe just fine.
The dream then shifts to a third person perspective, and I'm watching myself. I start looking around trying to figure out what went wrong. The man in the ship is Will Ferrel, and he is still in his stasis sack, although his head is out and he is talking to me. He isn't making any sense, just spouting phrases that I guess are philisophical, although I'm more worried about the fact that within half an hour I know we're going to splatter all over the landscape below.
I black out again, and this time I wake up in what I guess would be the docking bay for a spaceship. The guy from the spaceship is there with me as well, although now he is my boyfriend Kelly. We figure we were rescued, and a door opens and a nasty fat man walks in.
He explains that we are the sole survivors, and that we are the only living people on this planet. Since he saved us, we owe him, and he looks to me to collect. He says that unless I have sex with him, he'll kill the both of us. The fat man lays down right there in the docking bay, and tells me to get to work. Kelly doesn't like the idea, and instead of confronting the man, he tries to distract me instead by rubbing my entire lower body.
I put my hand on the fat mans waist, and he says "No, Here." and moves my hand to his crotch. I'm so grossed out at this point, that I turn around to Kelly and focus my attention completely on him. We start kissing, and while we are making out, the fat man gets up and is obviously very dissappointed. He makes a threat along the lines of "If that's the way its going to be..." and walks out of the bay.
Kelly and I relax at this point, but we are still worried about if the man is going to harm us. About this time an entire crew of people from a spaceship flood into the bay, all of them laughing and joking about some highly technical aspect of the mission they just did. Its very obvious that they are all incredibly smart and successful people. I realize at this point that the fat man is just a janitor or something like that and he only said those things to try and get me to have sex with him. These people are the ones who really saved us.
I get shown around their underground compound, which is a long sort of mall-like structure, with a giant hallway down the middle. There are only two locked doors, one at either end of the hall. After a few days there I realize I'm capable of running and jumping at an incredible speed, unlike the rest of the colonists. I'm also incredibly strong, and out of curiosity one day I break down the locked doors at one end of the hallway. I climb up through a maze of stairs and tunnels, all of which have many reflective surfaces either on them or in them, such as a mirror sitting in a corner. At the top of the stairs is a huge room with windows. In the center of it is a huge board game sort of like Scrabble. Each of the tiles is a foot square, and the game is playing without anyone touching the tiles. There is no one else in the room, so I'm beginning to get a little worried. I shout for someone, and on a table to one side of the room a floating face appears.
It explains how it is a disembodied entity, and it runs this colony. It uses the face to be visible to us, and it also is very angry at me for disturbing it. Two drum shaped things appear to either side of the face, and they focus on me. A large lazer beam shoots out at me, and I barely dodge it. I realize that this laser is meant to absorb all my life energy, which is what the entity uses to fuel its existance. The entity keeps the colony going so that it can harvest the people there like food.
I bound down the stairs and tunnels, using all my speed and strength to outrun the laser. The reflective surfaces allow the laser to follow me wherever I go, and I'm not even safe once I reach the main hallway. I run to the other end, and break down the locked doors there. Finally the laser stops following me.
I climb these stairs, and find myself in a sort of cafeteria room where there is a small group of people. I ask them who they are, and they tell me they are trying to destroy the entitiy that feeds off the people here.
The guy in charge saw me come up the stairs super fast and he says "Did you drink this before you came here?" and he holds up a bottle of Labbat Blue beer. I say yes, and he tells me thats where my super speed and strength come from. Most of the other people at the colony never drank beer, but the few people in this room did, and they were all as fast as me. It makes me estatic to think I now have a good reason to drink beer. The guy shows me the beer storage room, which is really very small. However they have miniature cases in there, and when you place them in a certain machine they regain their normal size. They ask me to join their group and help defeat the entity.
Thats the end of it, so now I think I'm going to go work on sewing my skirt for a bit. I'm going to have to come back later and write down some of the interesting things from the last few days, but thats not for now.
Cheers
