got an 800$ traffic tonight.
eight hundred dollars.
(was I drunk? you might ask. well, yeah, kinda, but that didn't enter into the proceedings.)
the citation was, in fact, for lead-footing it at 35 mph. in a 25 mph. zone.
the cop was somewhat sympathetic & wrote on the ticket that I was actually doing 30 mph.
which brought my ticket down to:
eight hundred dollars.
why?
insurance, baby. insurance.
Al Qaeda ain't got nothin' on THOSE boys.
I didn't have proof of insurance in my car.
eight hundred dollars.
I wasn't really sure myself (I'd meant to go by the insurance place earlier that day, but as I am reluctant to spend money on anything that isn't beer, I decided to put it off for a bit.)
anyway, I rummaged thru a pile of mail that I'd been saving for hard times & found out that I was indeed covered. just barely.
but still:
eight hundred dollars.
good thing I don't have a minumum wage job at wal-mart & a family to support.
good thing indeed.
eight hundred dollars.

Wow. I'm sorry, if you have the coverage but didn't have the proof does the ticket still stick?
