I have a houseguest for an indefinite period of time--which is good because she's a good friend who I haven't seen in a while, & I've been spening entirely too much time insulated like a wee hermitcrab--but it's going to take a bit of adjustment getting used to someone around the house that doesn't pad around on four paws & purr--(actually, the Partner would do that from time to time when in a frisky mood...god, I miss her)

I expected her last week & got the house whipped into shape (I'm not the best housekeeper in the world) & then it sort of backslid so it was kinda trashed when she showed up unnannounced on the front stoop (she'd sent an email that morning, but it must've landed in my mailbox right after I'd gone to bed)

we'll see how it works out, eh?
