heading eastward in 2 days, which I haven't really prepared for except that I'm going to do it & assume that everythings going to come together when the time comes (which is pretty much how I've lived my life up to this point & it's worked out better than any other strategy I've been presented with)
I'll work wednesday night, get a few hours sleep, leave, sleep somewhere halfway, & arrive in Wisconsin Friday evening (assuming my internal combustion engine doesn't go all external on me)--I plugged the coordinates into RandMcNally.com & it told me the distance between my house & my friend's house is 1,666 miles.
(for some ungodly reason, my brain has retained the fact that the Great London Fire was in 1666--)
the next morning, self & friend will go to Chicago for a few days.
where I will meet her family.
& spend time with her family.
which worries me a bit--as I'm a pleasant enough fellow to hang out with, drink beer with, make out with--but as far as meeting the folks & exhibiting proper table manners, I feel somewhat inadequate.
we'll see what happens, eh?

Sorry I haven't been so much online lately, and i have left so many of your posts unanswered (they have not been unnoticed, however! Some of them we'll later find an oportunity to discuss, maybe? )
First things first: thanks for the B-day wishes! and second... have the nicest trip! Drive safe, have great time, exhibit proper (or at least appropriate) table manners , come back soon with lots of stories to tell!
