I wonder if anyone pays attention to my blog or even reads it. It's been a long time since I have posted and I am happy to report that I am within a month of being on leave and ultimately free of the active army for good. It's had its ups and downs. I have gained friends and lost some. I have learned a lot. Ultimately, I learned that staying in the active army would do nothing except drive me insane. So, instead, I look forward to school and making my own life decisions. The rebel in me has finally won out and I am off to try my hand at photography.
School for photography... sounds like so much fun. I love doing this and want to do it more. I recognize that I have lots to learn and cannot wait to get started. I am starting out small though. First, Modesto Junior College which has been kind enough to grant me the Board of Governor's Fee Waiver for the 2012-2013 school year. After that? Who knows. I hope to leave their with an AA in Photography but they have said they were shutting down the photography and many other arts departments which is depressing to say the least.
I am working on my website for my In Search of Cosplay e-magazine. I still have a place holder up after all this time which is crap. I need to get it up and have some content posted. I was recently denied a press badge to Phoenix ComiCon because I did not have an active website. I will be remedying this very shortly. After that I need to work towards getting the first issue out.
My biggest problem right now is I have no logo. I need something original and cosplay related. If anyone has any talents in that area or knows anyone with talent in that area, it would be very much appreciated. I don't really have a budget for that though. Between my photography, the e-magazine and conventions, and school, I hope to be busy and very happy.
How's everyone else?
I look to the bright future. This should be interesting.
