I remember when I was doing my year 12 exams Mum encouraging me to listen
to classical music whilst studying. Apparently studies had shown that it
aided in memory retention and stuff.
I gave it a go anyway.
Used the same principle at University. The less said about that, the better.
So, I am driving home thinking to myself, "I'm all snappy and irritable,
I'll listen to some classical music to sooth my nerves a bit."
On went Slayer, Motley Crue, a bit of Gunnnaaas and, of course, Black Sabbath.
No wonder I don't sleep well!!
At what point did the Beatles become classic music, or Led Zepplin for that
matter? Do you just automatically qualify for classic statement after period
X has passed?
If such is the case, do you really want to live in a world where Brittney,
Christina, Eminem or Coldplay are "classics"?
Scared for the future (still),
