TO be on a sure FOUNDATION
Week Two The Foundation
Week Three Looking Inward
Week Four Gods Faithfulness
The first priority when rebuilding our lives is to lay a good foundation. God instructs us (1 Corinthians 3:11 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one we already have Jesus Christ.) that the only secure foundation is Jesus Christ.
He is the rock.
We were created for fellowship with the supreme God. The only way that sinful men can fellowship with Holy God is through the God-man, Jesus Christ. As I identify with Christ and learn to live by and trust His promises, every area of my life is permeated by His power.
Week Two
The Foundation
God desires a relationship with us. He created us for fellowship with him.
Gods offer to us
John 3:16-17
For God so loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge, but to save the world through him.
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.
John 14:3-4 Jesus, the way to the Father
When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. And you know the way to where I am going.
Hindrance to our relationship with God
Romans 6:23 Sins power is broken
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
How God solved the sin problem
John 14:6-7 Jesus, the way to the Father
Jesus told him, I am the way, the truth and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is. From now on, you do know him and you have seen him!
John 1:1, 1:14 Christ the eternal Word
In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God,
And the Word was blog.
So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the fathers one and only Son.
1 Peter 3:18 Suffering for doing good
Christ suffered (died) for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners to bring you safely home to God. He suffered physical death, but he was raised to life in the spirit.
John 1:12-13 Christ the eternal Word
But to all who believed in him and accepted him, he gave the right to become Children of God. They are reborn not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.
The choice is ours to receive Him
A Prayer of Commitment
God, I know that I have sinned. Please forgive me. I know that Christ died for my sins.
I also know He arose from death and wants to be part of my life. I invite Him into my life and receive your gift of eternal life. My desire is to live for you and serve you.
I know You are preparing me a place in heaven with You and I will serve you there. Thank you for that wonderful hope.
Amen.

Week Two. Day One.
MV
Jeremiah 29:11 Letter to the exiles
(Provided) For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not evil, to give you a future and a hope."
(NLT) "For I know the plan I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope."
(NIV) "For I know the plan I have for you," declares the Lord. "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

State the mental picture you have of a life that has a sure foundation.
I picture a life with a sure foundation to be peaceful and God centered. A 'sure foundation' is a foundation IN Christ! A life lived following the teachings of the Bible is going to have it's ups and downs in society but in the end it's built on stone; a sure foundation, which will survive through all of life's natural disasters and assure us of our place in heaven.
ASP
1 Corinthians 3:11-15
For no one can lay any foundation other than the one we already have - Jesus Christ. Anyone who builds on that foundation may use a variety of materials - gold, silver, jewels, wood, hay, or straw. But on the judgement day, fire will reveal what kind of work each builder has done. The fire will show if a person's work has any value. If the work survives, that builder will receive a reward. But if the work is burned up, the builder will suffer great loss. The builder will be saved but like someone barely escaping through a wall of flames.

Day8
There are two words that, when spoken, have the most unfathomable power to completely change your life. Two words that, when pass your lips, will be the cause of bringing absolute joy and happiness to you. Two words that will create miracles in your life, wipe out negativity, and bring abundance in all things. Two words that, when uttered and sincerely felt, will summon all the forces in the Universe to move all things for you.
There are just two words standing between you, happiness, and the life of your dreams...
THANK YOU

Well your little project here has inspired me to dust off my Bible and continue reading. I jump around in it a lot, but I finally finished Deuteronomy, which left me with more questions than answers. But I suppose that's intentional? Looking forward to you getting that full time internet. Lots to discuss!

I so very much look forward to what you write. I'm running out the door ... we shall speak soon. you are brilliant.
