Today I went to the animal shelter where Cesar was and I spent 2h30 with him, a volunteer who knows him well (Franck) and his dog Kaila (she's solo pretty 😍)
First thing I noticed. Marley is big. Reaaaally big. He weights like 35-40kg and as you can expect it comes with a lot of strength. So almost all afternoon he was pulling really hard on his leash and even with my 75kg I struggled a lot 😅.
He's pretty well educated, I played "sit" and "give me the paw" for a sweet it was so cute! Although he's a bit aggressive towards other dogs so we always had to be careful with him and Laika.
It was an amazing experience espacially since I never had a dog and I don't really know how to get him to obey right away... I think I need to be more strict and look more confident... Oh well 😅
At the end of the day I feel like I didn't see any spark between him and me. I mean, he wasn't too much into licking or jumping on me or anything. But it was the first time we met and he lacks socialisation (both with humans and dogs/animals).
So I'll come see him a few more times to see how things evolve. I really enjoyed walking him through the forest even though it was so HOT outside.
