The aforementioned news:
"There will be no comic until at least next Monday for a variety of reasons. Okay, for one reason. I have a shitload of work to do for my finals. No, wait, scratch that. A final.
I have what can only be described as an obscene amount of homework for the final project in my Preproduction class. It is stupid, unnecessary, and will be graded based on things that have nothing to do with the quality of the work involved. I will be cutting many corners, because I do not care about the class at all. Incidentally, this only makes me support the Writer's Guild strike more. I have already spent too much time typing up this news blurb about it, so I will give a giant, overlong description of exactly what I had to do once I have returned home.
Which brings me to a second point. This whole catastrophe is due Thursday afternoon, but I need to ship my computer home sometime Wednesday afternoon, because I go home for a month and a half after this, and my plane leaves about an hour and a half after my last class, which of course leaves me no time to ship my tank of a computer home that day. Then, naturally, this thing won't get there until at least Monday. I could ship it faster, but that wouldn't be worth the extra mountain of cash that this sixty-pound behemoth would require to get there a day early.
Anyway, I've spent way too much time typing this. See you jerks on or after Monday.
Dear jerks: I'm sorry, that was mean. You're not jerks. I'm just on edge right now. Seriously, though, I'll make it up to you. Jerks."
