I’ve been getting back into pole work more intensely these last few weeks along with a few gym trips and I’m curious if anyone has any post or pre workout remedies. I’m constantly very sore and my muscles are much more tense then they usually are after working out! Anything at this rate would be quite helpful!

Make sure you are gently stretching after and cooling down your body. Its just as important as warming up. Once your body is "cold" as such, ie. Your muscles no longer have the same elasticity. Invest in a foam roller, and work out any kinks in your legs, knots can form and it's a temporary fix. For long term, find a great massage therapist to help ease some of your stiffness. If possible, as well I reccomend Stott Pilates, the classes are educational and assist in balancing all those compensations you are making while sore as well.

I don't do the pole dancing as much as I do pole lifting. I look better in gym shirts than a G-string... however, various post workout drinks help me a lot. Bodybuilding.com has many as well as even GNC. Its packed full if BCAA which helps recovery and energy. Personally I like those out of all the supplements I've tried. It's kinda like an expensive kool-aid. Usually 25-30 dollars a tub but it lasts a month usually. But that's just my two cents.
