So for the past 5 months I've been working at a dentist office. When I first came to this job from the preschool, I knew I was way out of my comfort zone. I'm terrible with blood, gore, and all things pointy, metal, and torturous. I figured I'd just stay away from all of that, but seeing and being a part of it was inevitable. I won't go into detail, but for those of you that have had dental treatment done, know the smell of a dirty tooth could very well make any criminal fess up a crime. Truly terrible. After months of unsuccessfully trying to stomach extractions of erupted, decayed teeth, root canals and cleaning up bodily fluids, I decided to seek employment elsewhere. But where? I started applying at retail stores, but I didn't feel very enthusiastic. Then I did something I said I'd never do again. I started looking for restaurant jobs. I landed the 2nd one I went into and if things go according to plan, I start next week. It's a little German place called Das Bratwurst Haus (ha!). It'll be my first time officially as a waitress. Complete with authentic German outfit! ha! Although this is not my ideal job, I will take what I've been given and bust my ass for my house, my man, and my babygirl. Let's do this.
