Ok, so this summer, we are going to buy my in-laws' house. It's a nice house, and one that I would consider buying anyway. It is out "in the woods" - I am really looking forward to it. But in the last 10 years (that we have been in this house), we have collected so much CRAP!
We decided to buy some of those rubbermaid totes to store stuff in, and they have been great - sturdy and water resistent. We have been using them for a couple of years now. I've been taking loads over to their house for weeks, now. Yesterday I actually counted how many boxes of stuff had been taken over - almost 120 (about 125 if you count the bags of stuff, too) Wait, let me emphasize this one 120!!! boxes of stuff
Now not all of this is crap, a lot is baby toys and clothes. But a great deal of it are files that my wife has kept and papers that she has kept and not needed for the past 5 years! I can't get her to agree to get rid of any of it!
There is still half of a basement and a full attic to go through! We need to have this house on the market in the next month, and I just can't see how this is going to happen!
Guess I need to spend more time packing and less time on-line. Her too....
Enopugh ranting about this - just need to get it out. SO much other stuff going on, that this really seems small, but it is a major thing that we have to get ready for.
Work: preparing for arguments about discipline policy and legal issues. Can't wait to have this one out with the prinicpal. Yea, I really need to get shit done at home with this, too. Pay tuition bill and get my diploma.... New resume and a new job - before the one gets too bad... I'm in a pretty good situation in that I can go just about anywhere I want - experience, and desire, plus credentials!!
All right - enough for now. gotta get moving!
