Do you ever write words backwards and try to figure out what most look like? IE. A medieval word, demonic word, or even an actual word...such as live and evil or something like...Seconds...Sdnoces...
I have quite a few nouns in my novel with this theme - some towns are named the backwards version of a word I am using as symbolism to invite the reader into my mind.
You match up the backwards version of the backwards name of the town and you consider what is happening at that point in the story in the last few chapters and that's something magical. Or at least it was for me whenever I read books.

I have a little notepad with me often for novel ideas and to draw my abstract art when I'm bored or waiting for someone/something as I often do at work.
