I went to the Kriterion cinema yesterday with a few people from work. We didn't know the movie we were going to see, but I was pleasantly surprised it was the Belgian submission for the Oscars, 'Eldorado'.
It's about a somewhat miserable car importer who finds a burglar in his house.. it's a somewhat pathetic figure and when he spots him by the side of the road where he left him, he decides to give him a ride to his destination, his parents that live near the French border. On their way they encounter all kinds of strange characters and situations..
The movie was quite slow but I had a great time, the soundtrack was also great, hopefully I can find it somewhere.
Oh and here's two music videos from Peter von Poehl, a Swedish singer / songwriter that I like. It's all quite fragile but after listening to electro for while it's nice to hear something more relaxed.
