It is depressing that members of the two largest political parties in this country actually think that they are so different from one another. Their message is HATE, regardless of the details.
Democrats hate Republicans and vice versa. Liberals thought that Bush was the devil and Republicans would like to see Obama assassinated. What kind of mindless, spineless weakling do you have to be to follow one group simply because you hate its opposite. Only practicing politicians form the extremes on both sides of the political spectrum. Anyone who has the ability to think for themselves falls somewhere in between.
No one in history has ever responded positively and/or productively to someone else saying, with venom, 'you are vile and despicable for your politics, so obviously you should wake up and believe the same things I do'. Nobody responds well to being talked down to, regardless of whether they are right or wrong. Hate breeds more hate, not productivity.
