We'll fade away so young,
With so much left undone...
-Neil Young
Ever heard the band Powderfinger? They started out as a Neil Young coverband (hence the name).
Whew! I'm exhausted. My MD delegate, Kumar Barve, is one of the sharpest, serious, and truly decent public servants (I don't even want to say politician) I've ever seen. He's the Majority leader in the MD House of Delegates. We need him there, but with Sarbanes retiring...I'm tempted to beg him to run for the seat.
Just thought I'd share. This weekend was busy, and I'm exhausted. Both times I tried to sleep Saturday (I sleep during the day, remember), I got less than an hour before people called me. Other than that, it was my own fault I didn't get enough sleep. I finally had to take a nap during the night, slept from 4 to 7, when I had to get up and get ready for church. Let me tell you something: not sleeping enough for a long period of time, then getting up after sleeping a tad under 3 hours...that's Pain. I mean, full-body agony.
I'm unfortunately stuck in one of those moments when everything, though it's going pretty well, demands full focus for that to continue. Things are happening at church, at work, personally, financially, and with my long-term goals (personal and communal)...just a lot of balls in the air right now. (No, you sick fuck, that was a juggling metaphor!)
So if I'm on a little less, or seem a little distracted, or even disappear, you'll know why...

Cheers for the grammatical kudos. And yeah, "No rules?" My ass. Punk rockers tend to be as about as irreverent as Margaret Thatcher.
And as I just noted in SignalNoise's journal: Alexis really is what SG is all about, in my opinion.
