I'll kickout! I'll kickout! Before you cage me--
Exies
Went to the 9:30 Club to see Exies, Theory of a Deadman, & Breaking Benjamin. The Exies have gotten a Lot better since I saw them 2 years ago, much more confident on stage. Their drummer fucking tore it up, too. I got their new CD and had a chance to meet a couple of the guys in the band. Mad cool. They're way underappreciated. In fact, I was surprised they were the first act.
Theory came on next. Good rock band, but that was just all there was to it, really. They came on, rocked their set, and okay whatever.
Breaking Benjamin was the headliner, and they did their thing. I hadn't seen them before, and I was glad they didn't disappoint me. They know how to do their songs live, and this crowd knew the songs, which made for an even better experience. Unfortunately, they didn't play Forget It, which is my favorite of their songs, but they did play Firefly, so I guess it's all right. Pretty damn good. Lead singer had a Transformers shirt on too.
