Wow! I don't usually say this, but I am so lucky I didn't die yesterday. I was leaving T-Hoff on my BMX with about 30lbs. of car parts and gear oil in my backpack when I came across a driveway jump infront of Phantasm motors I couldn't let go by. When I saw it I sped-up to jumping speed. When hit the up ramp everything was cool. I pushed forward with my arms and landed on the down slope perfectly when all of a sudden, WHAM! my 30lbs. bookbag came down on the back of my neck, knocking my hands off the handle bars and my feet of the pedals. I was still on the bike somehow, but controling it with my arms and thighs. Busy Capital Blvd. was just feet to my right and I somehow managed to keep the bike and myself on the sidewalk. I finally came to a stop about 15ft. from the jumps landing, in a tangled mess of Chris and BMX. I wish I had a picture. I jumped back on my bike and kept going thinking that I would start feeling the pain at any minute. Much to my surprise, the only thing that hurt was the nail on my left big toe. How did that happen?
My moms Volvo 240 has a bad driveshaft bearing, so I let her borrow my Rabbit. My mom always peels a wheel the first time she tries to take off. It's so cute. I worry about my car in other people's hands. Potholes must be avoided at all costs due to modified suspension. I'm missing the front bumpstops.
This is the last week of my first semester at Wake tech. Hurray!
I met a girl at Busses lock smithing yesterday that gave me a Rollergirls buisness card. She liked my Descendents jacket! I noticed her looking, but couldn't figure it out until she mentioned it. She said she doesn't Roller derbi anymore due to a shattered left shoulder at a past event. That sounds hard- core.
Today at school, a girl who rides the bus with me was being harassed by some drunk dudes at school. They even followed her onto the bus! After the bus ride I told her I witnessed the whole thing and that if it ever happened again she could sit next to me. We talked about it as we walked to my bike. She seemed really cool, so I told her my name and she told me hers was Narsasissess (or however you spell that). What a cool name. A flower of a bulbus shape. Hmmm. I hope she talks to me again. I'd like to know more about what she does in Raleigh. There is really only about three degrees of separation in this town.
Emily told me she liked living with me more than not. I wish she liked to ride bikes and skateboard like I do. We could spend alot more of our free time together. Oh well. I can't ask her to. That's asking too much. Hopefully she'll want to in the future.
Peace-out, (in a police state on America)
