things i've missed about ohio (or perhaps, things i've missed because i live in london):
-the smell of snow
-getting stuck behind salt trucks
-truck stops
-people wearing carharts because they're functional (not because they're fashionable)
-blueberry pancakes (maple syrup optional)
-dramatic weather conditions
-sitting in the car while someone else washes it
-big cars
-big roads
-big portions
-big people
-big ***** (did i say that out loud?)
-oh yeah, and cheap booze!
[edited to add-->] oh yeah, and shops that sell live bait. especially the ones that sell live bait from vending machines.

Lobster-like I crawled indeed!
English stuff I missed when in OH:
- greasy fry ups
- pubs and real ale
- crossing a Thames bridge on a cold clear day
- taramasalata
- self deprecating humour/Brit com
- swearing
- green fields, country lanes, and walking along the banks of rivers and canals (I must move to the country soon)
- Lotus, Caterhams, other mad British machines and the ability legally to go over 55 mph
- good curries, Thai, Vietnamese, and mezze
Columbus/Delaware stuff I miss when in the yUK:
- the Hamburger Inn
- Mexican food (in supermarkets as well as every street corner)
- Wendy's Spicy Chicken Combo
- automatic refills
- football
- the space and sky
- general standard of living
- Shadowbox Cabaret
- Riverside Drive going north of Dublin
- Bluestone stream/walk
- ma dawg...
Hmmm... strikes me I need to move out of London and into the countryside. I used to love Yorkshire...
