ok. saturday morning (11am GMT) and i was fully awake and prepared to take on another long day at the library because i'm such a good student. so i pack my bag and head out the door, and as i leave the building, i turn the corner and head out onto the sidewalk and there, standing right in front of me, is a highly unattractive woman with her trousers and pants/undies around her ankles. at first i just sort of stopped and stared because i didn't know what to think. and then i noticed that she was actually taking a piss. while standing. not squating--standing. and i do believe that it was one of the longest pisses that i have ever witnessed.
but then i gained my composure and walked away.
oh, how i love kings cross!

Islington and Camden have some of the highest rates of mental illness in the UK. But maybe she wasn't ill at all, although I think one would be hard pushed not to think that her behaviour was bizarre and not socially acceptable. Interesting to note though that it is almost normal to see women squatting between parked cars in some continental cities... but standing up in the middle of the sidewalk? WTF??!

Our Kings Cross in Sydney is just as bad!
