Okay, it took me two days to recover from Voodoo Music Fest. Now that I can breath, I can say this: I got to go backstage and see Velvet Revolver! Too bad they sucked. That was a dissapointing show. about an hour before they came on a friend of mine picking up artists from the airport called and told me she thought that VR would be late performing, and they were; because she saw Scott Weiland on Bourbon Street getting wasted. Isn't this man supposed to have a parol officer? Its nobody's business personally but when you put on bad shows like that, its not good for business. Duff and Slash however rocked. It was like watching three proffesionals who know what they are doing and one ADD child that annoys the hell out of everyone. I didn't want to see a Freddy Mercury rippoff. I think quite a few other people would agree.
I was never really a big fan of Kid Rock. He came on after VR, but that was an incredibly good show. He sang a bunch of southern rock covers including my high school song "Free Bird." What's not to like. Strippers and good singing. Seven cups of jack d. on jack d. made it even better.
