Now nearing the end of my first week as a Chicagoan. Woohoo! I'm feeling pretty good about things. I'm enjoying myself, even though I've yet to meet anyone or start school. I just wake up feeling energized, which hasn't been the case in sooooo long. So far, so good.

Despite having grown up in balmy Dixie, I am a fan of cool and cold weather. I have spent a couple years living in the Alps, so between that and my beer baby, I'm not your typical thin-skinned Southern boy. I will, however, require a sun lamp. I can't wait for Autumn!!! Is it generally nice up there? Ours is pretty heavenly, I must say, especially after five months of Summer.
