One of my classes this semester is Digital Photography. Have I said that already? I don't remember and I'm too lazy to go back and look.
Anyway. The other week, I finished a model build and decided to have some fun with it and my borrowed school camera. Here is one of the results.
That, my friends, it the Shin Musha Gundam. Originally appearing in a SD Gundam series, then brought back for the Dynasty Warriors: Gundam games. It is a sentient, samurai styled RX-78-2. This thing is a monster. With work, homework and other life things breaking up the time spent working on it, it took me 12+ hours to finish it, weapons and all! Unfortunately, this thing takes a lot of work post-build. Some of the stickers just suck and need to be replaced with paint, and the "gold" bits are super brittle and need a lot of care to not snap into pieces.
But! It looks cool as fuck and I already have some Halloween style plans for another set of photos that I'll work on through the week... maybe... if I'm not lazy... Hmm...
Speaking of! Here's a shot from an assignment I finished with yesterday! We were playing with eggs. =3
I couldn't get the damn thing to focus any better. But I think it turned out pretty swell regardless. And I was terrified of fucking up the faces if I drew them directly on the egg, so scrap paper and tape was the way to go! The light source I'm using is actually a bedside lamp I got not too long ago. It uses a white light and is super bendy. It worked perfectly and I can't wait to play with it like this again!
That's all I got for now. Stay gold, sexy people!
