HTML is awesome! I just needed to restate that in case nobody saw the vlog I put up. I went through a programming class during the previous Fall semester. We were learning Python and I absolutely SUCK at it. I would have failed the class, but my teacher was proud of me for at least trying as hard as I did through the whole semester and sticking with it until the end, so she gave me the lowest passing grade possible.
But HTML is treating me right. I'm still getting stuck on certain concepts, but my brain is actually able to comprehend it. So we have a winner. I'm plowing through some homework at the moment, but I wanted to take a break and vent again. Because that's how we roll around here.
So... now the hilariously frustrating part: I still have classmates that don't get it.
Let me restate that. I guess *I* still don't get it? I don't get how some of my classmates could have made it this far into the program with the grade school skills they currently possess. My teacher enforces spelling and grammar, docking grade points if any of that isn't done correctly. But people still don't get it. It gets pretty bad too, during the forum assignments. There are still four or five people that can't use Word. They can't use Word!
We have several assignments where we need to get a screencap, put it into Paint or a Word doc, then upload it. They can get the screencap, get it into word, but then they resize it too small and nobody can see the damn thing well enough to critique it.
Ugh. I know I'm being a bit petty about it. But our first class in this course was on using Microsoft Word properly. Hmm... Anyway. I need to get back to it. I'll see you sexy people later!
Stay gold!
