My foot is worse. They are removing my toe. They plan to remove the middle bone toe and replace it with a metal pin. Then fuse all my toes together with little pins.
This all scares the hell out of me. I am this close >-< to buying my own night club. I am about to go look at it here in a few minutes. I hope it works out. I hope It can do it.
Jingle bomb2 is just around the corner and, there is a good buz about it. which means it might do okay.
But I am still nervous I am always nervous about a new show...
I need to figure things out I guess. I mean I am sitting at home on pain killers most days staring at my ceiling. My foot is killing me I can't work at my day job, and My insurance hasn't come through So its not like i can even go online shopping. I am just straight out doomed.
Hopefully I will have enough pain killers at JB2, and my staf will be strong enough to simply let the party ride out its own vibe.
Thats what is important to me. Vibe. I mean what are parties with out it? Most promoters want fame and fortune, but I am satisfied with just seeing kids smiling.
I love when people are meeting new friends and sharing and just having fun. I want to see more of it. lots more of it. So may of te new promoters and DJ's never really went to raves they just say they did. Or went t oone or two and decided it was a cash cow they could cash in on.
But i grew up here, quietly in the back doing my little dance, swearing I would never be a cash cow promoter or a fame addicted DJ, and now here I am being a promoter because all I see are people missing the point.
I am in a touchy place. I must be cautious not to become one of them. I have to be aware of what is expected and not loose contact with the kids. I also must reframe from hiding ina shell. I do that I have always done that.
Stay out, stay focused and keep bringing the kids what they want, not what I think they want or what other promoters or dj's tell me they want, but rather what they actually want.
This is a battle with myself I can win.
