I once read that no man is an island. I have come to realize that the above statement is true. People are cities. On the outside they might be beautiful. Some are run down but once you take some time you come to love that city. Some cities are more popular because the night life is good, more activities, more going on. Some cities try to be other cities and ultimately fail. The cities end up alone with no one bringing life into it. The lights go dark.
I sat down today and decided that with this year almost over I needed to take stock in my life. I lost a lot of friends this year. People who had been in my corner for years. I became someone else for a few months. I thought I had anyway. What I now know is who I was since I came to this town was a front. I didn't mean for it to be but I didnt want it to be like junior high. The problem is that is how it is exactly. I am who I was in junior high. I don't know who I am and I am hiding behind who I thought people wanted me to be. So with 2007 coming up on my heels, all I have is my thoughts. This is the year that I will be more honest with myself, with everyone else, I will lock down my emotions more and hopefully get through it alive. " If you can live through it all..."
