From my favorite movie, Nicholas Ray's In a Lonely Place:
No reason whatsoever that I'm posting that clip other than I feel like it.
. . . . .
Back to NY this week, this time on work related travel - huzzah for business-covered hotel stays! - where I will likely gorge on bagels and pizza made the way God intended. It's always great to go back. Jesus, I miss the city like mad.
Plus a spell of sweet relief from Los Angeles is clearly a very good thing. I sweat that try to like LA, I really actively do. I never wanted to be one of those people who lives in LA but spends all their time complaining about how much they hate the city. But damn it all, I just don't have it in me. The people of this town - why, oh why are they the way that they are? (excepting the lovely members of SGLA of course )
On the hand, LA, you do have your In-N-Out Burger, your Museum of Jurassic Technology and your David Lynch morning weather report on Indie 103.1. It's not Central Park, but it's a start.
