My last blog was an open song request for people to send me their request and I'd e-mail them a file of me singing it right then and there. It was so much fun, I'm going to do that every so often for a couple reasons...
1. It's a mental and musical workout
2. It's an opportunity to hear new music
3. I'm a touch narcissistic (in a performer sort of way, not an a-hole sort of way)
I sang "Let it Be," "Yesterday," (thank you both for indulging me with Beatles requests), "Letter B" from Sesame Street (yes I did sing it), "Haven't Met You Yet," "Come On Baby Light My Fire," (those 2 were hard cause I have such a high voice, but I muddled through them...painfully...) and "Walking in Memphis," which I had never heard before. It was a lot of fun!
So keep an eye out for future request blogs!
Also, my New Year's Resolutions are going well so far. They were to 1) Run 10 miles a week and 2) Buy more color.
I have run 10 miles every week except for last week when I ran 6, but that week I had super cramps wrapped in a migraine so I couldn't do it, but I'm going to run 14 miles this week to make up for it. OrI might do 12 miles this week and next week then stay at 12 to up the ante a bit. Either way, I'll make it up. So far I have run 6 this week.
I went shopping yesterday because we had markdowns at work. i bought an olive green military jacket, a white jacket that i feel like a rockstar in and a navy blue tank. No black! So far so good. You'll be seeing that white jacket in the future. Once the snow melts I'll be shooting a set inspired by this video
Also Amanda Palmer is having a remix contest for this song, so I've been working on a submission to that as well. The deadline is Valentine's Day so I have plenty of time to make something awesome.
And now as a thank you for putting up with my update filled blog here's a recent picture
